A-vitamin hj\u00e6lper os med synet, immunsystemet, reproduktionen og stofskiftet samt med hjerte-, lunge-, nyre- og hjernefunktionen. Men det er ikke alt: A-vitamin har ogs\u00e5 antioxidantegenskaber, der kan beskytte cellerne mod skader fra frie radikaler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A-vitamin findes i mange forskellige f\u00f8devarer, f.eks. laks, spinat og andre bladgr\u00f8ntsager, m\u00e6lk, ost, \u00e6ggeblommer, organk\u00f8d, okselever, broccoli, gr\u00e6skar, guler\u00f8dder, cantaloupe, mango og abrikoser. Desuden er nogle morgenmadsprodukter beriget med A-vitamin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voksne kvinder b\u00f8r indtage ca. 700 mikrogram (mcg) A-vitamin dagligt, mens anbefalingen for m\u00e6nd ligger t\u00e6ttere p\u00e5 900 mikrogram (mcg) pr. dag. Mangel p\u00e5 A-vitamin er is\u00e6r udbredt i udviklingslandene. Mennesker med problemer med at ford\u00f8je fedtopl\u00f8selige vitaminer kan have st\u00f8rre risiko for at mangle A-vitamin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A-vitamin-pr\u00e6parater<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Er du i tvivl, om du har brug for at tage tilskud af A-vitamin? En tilstr\u00e6kkelig m\u00e6ngde A-vitamin kan optages gennem maden alene. Men da A-vitamin ikke b\u00f8r overdoseres, anbefales det ikke at tage kosttilskud. For meget A-vitamin kan v\u00e6re skadeligt, men nogle mennesker kan have brug for A-vitamintilskud. Kroppen regulerer A-vitaminniveauet, fordi dette n\u00e6ringsstof opbevares i leveren. N\u00e5r lys rammer hornhinden, og t\u00e5refilmen er uregelm\u00e6ssig, spredes lyset. Hvis t\u00e5refilmen ikke er af god kvalitet, kan der opst\u00e5 symptomer p\u00e5 t\u00f8rre \u00f8jne. Et af de f\u00f8rste tegn p\u00e5 A-vitaminmangel er de s\u00e5kaldte Bitot-pletter, hvide skumagtige l\u00e6sioner p\u00e5 hornhinden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2 Natteblindhed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Natteblindhed er et andet tidligt tegn p\u00e5 A-vitaminmangel. A-vitamin er en vigtig bestanddel af rhodopsin, et protein, der absorberer lys i nethinden. Rhodopsin er \"stavdelen\" af \"stave og tappe\" og er afg\u00f8rende for nattesynet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3 Problemer med s\u00e5rheling<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A-vitamin er en vigtig komponent i god s\u00e5rheling. En af grundene til det er, at A-vitamin d\u00e6mper kroppens inflammatoriske respons og kan hj\u00e6lpe med at kontrollere overdreven inflammation. Uden nok A-vitamin kan kroppen ikke hele ordentligt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4 \u00d8get forekomst af bryst-, hals- og luftvejsinfektioner.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mangel p\u00e5 A-vitamin kan v\u00e6re forbundet med hals-, luftvejs- og brystinfektioner. Du skal dog ikke gribe ud efter A-vitamintilskud alene af den grund - der er brug for mere forskning p\u00e5 omr\u00e5det, og tilskud kan have nogle ret alvorlige bivirkninger, hvis du ikke er i underskud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A-vitamin menes at have en beskyttende virkning mod overdreven inflammation i forbindelse med invasive patogener som fork\u00f8lelse og infektioner. A-vitamin kan bidrage til beskyttelsen ved at modulere inflammation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5 T\u00f8r hud<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mangel p\u00e5 A-vitamin er bestemt ikke den eneste \u00e5rsag til t\u00f8r hud, eksem og andre hudproblemer, men det kan spille en rolle. N\u00e5r man ser p\u00e5 ingredienser i hudplejeprodukter, er retinol et ret almindeligt begreb. Det viser sig, at retinol er afledt af A-vitamin og har mange fordele for huden, s\u00e5som at reducere rynker, udj\u00e6vne hudens struktur og meget mere. N\u00e5r man forst\u00e5r denne sammenh\u00e6ng, giver det mening, at mangel p\u00e5 A-vitamin kan spille en rolle i hudproblemer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Huden indeholder retinoidreceptorer, og en tilstr\u00e6kkelig tilf\u00f8rsel af A-vitamin hj\u00e6lper med at danne nye hudceller, reducere inflammation og forhindre t\u00f8rhed.
